A team of young professionals brought together by a new idea
MACA Museo A Cielo Aperto® (Open Air Museum) was born in December 2019 as an independent start-up with the aim of promoting the beauty of the territory through an innovative and fun system.
Behind MACA project stands a team of young professionals who chose to provide this idea with their skills and passion. A team capable of working in synergy offering quality and efficiency.
A route of about 5 kilometres, with an elevation gain of almost 1000 metres, that climbs up to the village of Monte Lussari, for a regenerating adventure full of surprises. Hiking Time: about 2 h 30 min. We recommend suitable clothing, trekking shoes and trekking poles.
Also practicable in winter with mountaineering skis, snowshoes or crampons.

Forest Sound Track
A walk in the shade of the woods to discover the birthplace of the tonewood spruces, from which some of the finest musical instruments in the world are created. A path that adapts to any type of need, offering the possibility to choose its length thanks to different access points. You can choose from the map the most suitable starting point for you. Suitable clothing, trekking shoes and trekking poles are recommended.
The path is also accessible in winter with snowshoes or crampons. Maximum elevation gain of about 200 meters.
Truly a time-travel in the heart of the small town of Dogna: it starts 250 million years ago, following the traces of the Aetosaurus, and passes through the Great War and the culture and art of this fascinating area. The visit begins inside the "Museum of the Territory'' and ends with a pleasant walk in the alleys of the town, among murals and art installations. The route is accessible all year round.

A real adventure dedicated to families and children. In the fantastic woods of "Animalborghetto" you can meet the animals of the forest realistically recreated on hand-painted wooden shapes. The path is easy and fun and gives the opportunity to spend a pleasant pause in the woods.
A short and relaxing walk that starts from the square of Malborghetto and dives into the woods, following the colorful shrines of the Way of the Cross. Once at the small white chapel, where the forest leaves room for a cozy lawn, it is possible to take a break and enjoy the beautiful view.
The path is always accessible, paying more attention in winter time.
Discover Fort Hensel, the historical Austro-Hungarian barrage that since Napoleon’s days has defended the Valcanale valley. Walking among the remains of the fort to learn the secrets of this place, you can reach the top of the hill (about 60 metres of elevation gain) from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the valley. The path, despite the uphill development, is simple and safe.
It is forbidden to leave the path or enter the facilities.
Before the majestic life-size bronze lion you can relive the deeds of an Austro-Hungarian hero and the battle that made him legend. Captain Friedrich Hensel and his men are the protagonists of this fascinating place full of history.
The site can be reached by car and can be visited all year round.
The path winds through beautiful forests of pine and beech trees and climbs steeply up to about 1,300 metres. Once at the Head of Malborghetto, you can explore the fascinating ruins of the military Observatory and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Valcanale valley. Going down to Fort Hensel, it is possible to hike a ring of about 5.5 km for an estimated time of about 3 hours. Appropriate clothing, hiking boots and poles are recommended.
The path is accessible throughout the year, but in winter it is not recommended to the least experienced hikers.
A walk in the garden of the Venetian Palace of Malborghetto to meet the oldest citizen of the village, the monumental linden tree that since over four hundred years ago observes what happens around it. Listening to the story of its long life, you can admire its massiveness and enjoy the charm of a unique location.
Access to the garden is always possible, except on the occasion of particular events.
Arriving with the ski lift (about 15 minutes), in a few steps you can reach the one of the most beautiful medieval villages in the Alps, with the scent of the typical cuisine, the spirituality of the sanctuary and the breathtaking view of the Julian Alps.

A pleasant walk in one of the most beautiful places in the Alps where lakes, meadows, woods and cliffs truly give us a glimpse of paradise on earth. The route is suitable for everyone and it is accessible all year around. In winter it is also accessible with skis or snowshoes and in summer it is an excellent path for mountain biking.
For those who love a peaceful experience we recommend low season and midweek days.
Get lost in the streets of Pontebba to discover the incredible history of this border town that has divided kingdoms, empires and nations.
A pleasant walk suitable for the whole family during which it will be possible to visit the palaeontology interactive exhibition, the Great War Museum and the places that made Pontebba unique.

A special place in the mountains of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in which the wonders of Mother Nature merge with the passion of the "Val Gleris" Sports Group members, who make their skills available to beginners and experts.
In winter, at the "Casa del Fondo", it is possible to rent skis, snowshoes and sledges to use on the dedicated slopes or to book ski lessons to learn a new discipline. Summer is dedicated to hiking and mountain biking.
From here it is possible to leave for long excursions in the woods up to the sight of the wonderful Sette Picche, the peaks that mark the boundary of the valley.

During the advent time, at dusk, the Advent Pur walk is lit up with lanterns. It’s an easy and romantic path that let you discover the winter traditions of the Valcanale valley.
The best way to experience the Christmas atmosphere with theatre performances, live music and hot drinks, in other words, the best way to become children again.

This urban hike sets off from the Arena of Verona, winding through the streets of the centre, to then dive into the greenery of the Parco delle Mura.
